Contentment
Much of the unhappiness of our times is that so few have learned the secret of contentment without which there can be, no inner peace. There is no truth more emphatically presented to us by the Holy Spirit than that contentment with what we have and with our lot in life is one of the major keys to happiness: "I have learned to be content whatever the circumstance. I know what it is to be in need, and what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation" (Phil. 4:11-12). "Godliness with contentment is great gain "(I Tim. 6:6). "But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that "(1 Tim. 6:8). Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you" (Heb. 13:15). Responsibility |
